This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts with a requirement for every other weekend. Travelers must work 2 out of 4 holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

• Apply, interpret, and respond to telemetry monitoring of patients.
• Perform IV and NG tube insertions as necessary.
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Work with patients and families for comprehensive care and understanding of treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med-Surg Telemetry.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification prior to starting.
• Telemetry certification preferred.
• Experience in a 300+ bed facility or any UVMHN acute care facility is required.
• EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required.
