Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a MA RN license and advanced telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Float Pool RN covering medical-surgical and telemetry units in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes neurological, orthopedic, respiratory, renal, and cardiac cases
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation
• All RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
• Must use EPIC for electronic medical records; EMR experience required
• Responsibilities include caring for diverse patient cases with frequent floats between units
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must be fully COVID and Flu vaccinated (medical exemptions allowed)
• A six-month break is required for former employees of the health system to be eligible
• All RTO requests must be presented up front

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia and medication testing via remote proctor prior to assignment, with a score of 85% or higher and no remediation opportunity
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
