Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland 20650
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Adult Only)
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 16, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-Hour Day Shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Scrubs: Caribbean Blue (not provided)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1590 - $1710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Compact RN license or Maryland Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Two supervisor references required
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Open to first-time travel nurses

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Care for patients with diverse diagnoses: diabetes, CHF, infection, sepsis, COPD, post-surgical, sickle cell crisis, GI bleed, and more
• Utilize specialized clinical equipment: patient lifts, CADD pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitors, capnography
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Float to other nursing units of similar or lower acuity as needed
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekend and holiday coverage
• Complete required orientation and clinical training modules prior to and during assignment
