Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool night shift position requiring advanced telemetry skills and a NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Nursing Float Pool at a hospital setting
• Cares for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients with a variety of medical needs
• 12-hour night shifts from 7p to 7a, with every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• First-time travelers with strong experience are welcome to apply
• Weekly orientation is provided
• Perm staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• There is a 50-mile radius rule determining local rate eligibility
• Three professional references, including two from leadership, are required once committed

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in the specialty
• Advanced Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass Dysrhythmia exam with a minimum score of 80% during onboarding
• Experience with Cardizem and insulin drips, as well as phenobarbital on telemetry patients
• Two recent charge or manager RN references required
