Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an IA or compact RN license and at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 24-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Care for a variety of med surg patients, including post-op surgical hips and knees
Patient ratios are typically 4-5 patients per nurse
Heparin drips are administered on unit
Telemetry is monitored remotely by tele techs
Epic is used for electronic medical records
Required to float across all campuses as needed
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Navy blue solid scrubs are required
Must provide one recent supervisory reference from within the last 2 years
Holiday coverage required, must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Limit of 1 requested day off during major holiday periods
Returning employees may not be eligible if employed within the last 12 months

Requirements

Active IA or compact RN license
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience
Active license and certifications must be current at time of consideration
EMR experience with Epic is required
