Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
BCLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred
Proficiency in orthopedic nursing, including total joint replacements and fracture management
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
Ability to float within service line (Memorial Belleville/Memorial East as needed)
Heavy lifting required
References preferred at time of submittal
Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:5-6
Provide specialized orthopedic care, including total joint surgeries and stable fracture management
Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code teams
Administer medications, blood products, and manage IVs, PICC lines, and feeding tubes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and unit secretaries
Float to affiliated units as needed to support hospital operations
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
Adhere to all hospital policies, including fit testing and vaccine requirements
