Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position caring for adult post-surgical patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit specializing in adult post-surgical care
• Patient population includes amputation, spinal cord injury or dysfunction, musculoskeletal injury, stroke, and other complex conditions
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on 12-hour shifts
• Utilizes Epic EMR system; experience preferred
• Provide nursing care for adults recovering from surgery with complex conditions
• Adhere to hospital protocols for post-surgical and complex patient populations
• Night shift hours require strong independent assessment and prioritization skills
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, except where specific radius rules apply

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Experience providing care to post-surgical adult patients
• Experience in a facility with 500+ bed count required
• Dysrhythmia management experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Previous completion of 1-2 travel assignments preferred
