Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Wisconsin requiring a compact RN license and strong assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 16-bed Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 4-5 on days, 5-6 on evenings, and 6-7 on nights
• 12-hour variable shifts including days and nights
• Schedule includes every other to every third weekend and every other holiday
• Must be willing to float to other nearby hospital locations as needed
• Epic charting experience is preferred
• Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours
• If called back during on-call, callback pay applies
• Any color scrubs may be worn
• Unit is typically staffed with 3 RNs on day and evening shifts and 2 RNs on nights

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry is highly preferred
• Excellent assessment skills required
• Prior travel experience is preferred
