Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care night shift assignment requiring prior LTC and travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long term care rehabilitation and nursing facility
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts and every other weekend required
• Will have exposure to dementia patients throughout all units
• May be required to float to other units as needed
• Expected to work 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Day
• Personal vehicle or rental vehicle strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Vehicles should have all season or snow tires during November through April
• Schedules must be strictly followed; changes to assigned hours are not permitted
• All time off requests must be communicated upfront as no time off will be granted after assignment begins
• Candidates must explain any employment gaps over 90 days
• First time travelers are not accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Previous long term care experience required
• Must be comfortable working with dementia patient populations
