Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a CT license, advanced certifications, and LDRP experience for a hospital position with couplet care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Position is at a 78-bed general hospital
• Care includes couplet care, attending all deliveries, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery duties
• Some floating as helping hands (without patient assignment) to Med/Surg or Senior Behavioral Health, rotated in 2-hour increments
• Shift is 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every other weekend required
• Periodic on-call responsibilities
• Primary responsibilities include couplet care nursing, attending all deliveries, and caring for low risk antepartum and transition nursery patients
• Occasional float support to Med/Surg or Senior Behavioral Health may be required without patient assignment
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• Scrub dress code must be adhered to; specifics provided upon assignment
• Holiday coverage may be required based on staffing needs
• Returning travelers who previously worked at specified systems may require approval before rehiring

Requirements

• Active CT RN license required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course (EFM) is required; Advanced EFM not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Preferred: C-EFM and STABLE certifications
• Two recent standard or above average professional references from a manager or above in the discipline
