Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a Level III unit requiring recent high-risk OB experience and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy Level III Labor & Delivery unit with 30 beds and 3 operating rooms
• Patients include high-risk OB cases, with a patient ratio of 1:2
• Setting requires recent experience with 500+ bed facilities
• Shift is 12-hour nights, with every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Call is required
• Floating to Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) required
• Experience with 300-330 births per month population
• Provide care for laboring patients, assist with deliveries, and support high-risk OB cases
• Must float to Mother-Baby Unit as needed
• Holiday and on-call coverage required
• Magnet facility environment
• Scrub color requirements may apply
• No local candidates within 50 miles of assignment location

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent full-time Labor & Delivery experience in a 500+ bed acute care facility
• High-risk OB experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM
• Current EMR experience required
• Must have completed at least 2 recent travel assignments in acute care
• Two recent references from last employers, one from a nurse manager or director
• Current skills checklist (valid within one year)
• Detailed employment history for the last 7 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
