Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California, requiring a CA RN license and recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery setting
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 12-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
• Patient population encompasses a range of labor and delivery cases, including high-risk obstetrics
• Utilizes the EPIC EMR system
• Provide comprehensive care for patients in labor and delivery, including high-risk cases
• Follow hospital-specific policies and participate as part of the L&D nursing team
• Must comply with vaccination requirements including COVID and flu if applicable
• Local and travel candidates receive the same rate
• Scrubs required as per hospital dress code
• Subject to policies limiting assignment duration to two years with a mandatory 90-day break before returning

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum one year of recent (within the last three years) full-time equivalent L&D nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• Preferred: Five or more years of recent labor and delivery experience
• Preferred: At least one year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years
• High-risk OB experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Last four digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration
