12 hour shifts; 4 days per week; all rotating shift schedules.

Job Description

Provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum (high, moderate, and low-risk) patients, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. Candidates must demonstrate good communication skills, the ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient and family-centered care. Employees are oriented and trained to various competencies/modes of care and delivery across the OB service. Floating among units to meet variable needs of volume and acuity is an ongoing expectation of all OB/GYN nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to obstetrical patients during all phases of care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt to the needs of varying patient volumes and acuity levels.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (NY only)
• Two (2) years of experience in labor and delivery, OR experience in OR and triage highly desired
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification required
