Job Description

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This role requires a skilled and experienced L&D RN to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases. The RN will manage 1:2–3 patient ratios, assist with both routine and high-risk deliveries, and be competent in the management of second stage labor, vaginal exams, and newborn transition in L&D.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient-centered care in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum settings.
Assist in vaginal and high-risk deliveries (forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage management, etc.).
Perform neonatal resuscitation, thermoregulation, and post-delivery care.
Administer medications such as magnesium sulfate, oxytocin, antihypertensives, and prostaglandins.

Certifications Required:

BLS
NRP
AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
Stable (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
Previous charge experience preferred
