Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Women's Services, requiring a NY license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Women's Services unit with labor, delivery, postpartum, and Level 1 nursery care
• Includes care for GYN, female orthopedic, and female bariatric patients as needed
• 5 labor rooms, nursery, and 8 postpartum beds
• Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends
• 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, for an 8-week assignment
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Meditech and GE EMRs
• Utilizes GE and Phillips fetal heart rate monitors
• Responsibilities include labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery care, and coverage for additional women's health cases
• Required to document care in Meditech and GE systems
• Team environment with charge RN, supervisor, and manager support
• Compliance with hospital testing and vaccination requirements is expected
• Professional scrubs required as per unit policy

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience
• Must be trained in labor room, postpartum, and nursery care
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Fetal monitoring certification preferred but not required
• Must have experience administering OB-specific drips and medications such as Pitocin and magnesium
• No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 75-mile radius
