Women's Services (OB) RN

Oswego, NY

This is an 8-week contract position.

Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM with rotating weekends, totaling 36 hours per week.

We are seeking a highly skilled Women's Services (OB) RN with labor room and postpartum experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work within a Level 1 maternity and nursery unit, providing essential care to expectant mothers and newborns.

• Provide care for patients in labor and postpartum recovery.
• Handle care for Level 1 nursery infants as census allows.
• Administer medications and drips including Pitocin, magnesium, and other OB-specific medications.
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically Meditech and GE.
• Monitor fetal heart rates using specialized equipment from GE and Phillips.

• Must have at least 1 year of OB nursing experience.
• Current NY State nursing license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are mandatory.
• Fetal monitoring certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience in female ortho and bariatric care is advantageous.
