Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
Active Virginia RN license or compact state nursing license (required for submission)
Certifications: ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate
EPIC charting experience preferred
BSN preferred
Ability to float within scope to other units
2 professional references required
Telemetry interpretation and triage skills required

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in Labor & Delivery, including triage and continuous monitoring
Utilize telemetry for patient assessment and clinical support
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory services, rapid response)
Care for neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and adult patients
Document nursing care and interventions using EPIC charting system
Participate in orientation modules and comply with facility policies (including natural nail policy)
Float to other hospital units within nursing scope as needed
