Description:
Provide expert nursing care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit with over 300 births monthly. Care for antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients in a culturally diverse population. Manage complex obstetrical patients including those with hypertensive disorders, diabetes, and multiple system conditions. Assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and surgical cases including cervical cerclage and D&C. Perform fetal monitoring, use infusion pumps, and administer complex medications like insulin drips and magnesium sulfate.
Requirements:
- RN license
- Minimum 1 year labor and delivery experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Skilled in IV therapy, blood administration, central/PICC line care, phlebotomy
- Experience with labor and delivery management, high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, obstetric procedures, and newborn care in delivery room
- Ability to float between similar units as needed
- Proficient in Epic charting system
- Must work every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Strong ability to manage diverse patient population and high acuity care

- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (18:00 - 06:30)
- Patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:3
- Facility type: Acute Care Hospital with 150 staffed beds
- Scrub color: Royal Blue or Navy preferred
