Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Greater Washington, DC area)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1890-$2030
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: February 16, 2026
Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirement: 36 hours per 6 weeks (on premises within 45 minutes of call)
Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend/holiday as needed
Float Requirement: Required to float to like units (e.g., Mom/Baby) before permanent staff
Scrubs: Provided
Charting System: Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Compact or Maryland RN license (required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
High-risk Labor & Delivery experience
Previous charge nurse experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
Must register for C-EFM during compliance or within first two weeks of assignment (C-EFM through NCC preferred)
Two supervisor references required
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Willingness to float to similar units as needed

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-risk, fast-paced clinical setting
Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries
Perform fetal heart monitoring and triage obstetrical patients
Recognize and manage abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Precept and serve as charge nurse as needed
Float to Mom/Baby or similar units as required
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
Respond to call requirements and be on-site within 45 minutes when called
