Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Location: Brooklyn, Maryland (21225) – Convenient to Baltimore healthcare opportunities and local attractions
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 1/5/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1710–$1830
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (10 beds, interdisciplinary clinical support)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
• Weekend/On-Call: Every other weekend; 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
• First Time Travel Nurses: Welcome!
• Scrubs: Provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Charge nurse and preceptor experience required
• BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN certifications required
• Must hold or obtain C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 2 weeks of start date
• Preferred: ACLS, STABLE, C-EFM through NCC, community hospital and Trauma Level I experience
• Two (2) supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care patients
• Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk labor and delivery cases
• Perform and interpret fetal monitoring, APGAR scoring, and newborn assessments
• Float as needed to Postpartum/Couplet Care and feeder/grower assignments in Level II NICU
• Serve as charge nurse and preceptor for new staff and travel nurses
• Support breastfeeding, lactation, and provide patient and family education
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as scheduled
