Registered Nurse - MICU CCU Staff

This position is located in New Jersey.

This is a 13-week contract position.

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required or as needed, with holiday coverage as needed based on unit requirements.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, documenting nursing care based on patient needs, and advocating for evidence-based practice care standards.

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patients’ problems or needs and the physician’s medical diagnoses.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

• Two to three (2-3) years of strong Med ICU or ICU experience required.
• Experience with central lines, ventilators, and ICU cardiac telemetry is essential.
• BLS - AHA certification required.
• Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Telemetry-NIHSS-CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours) certification is required.

• CCRN certification is highly recommended/preferred.
• 5 years of experience is preferred.
