Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a critical need ICU position in California with night shifts and EPIC EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week over a 9-week contract
• Uses the EPIC EMR system
• Care for critically ill and complex patients in a high-acuity environment
• May provide care involving dialysis and SLED procedures
• Team-oriented ICU environment with multidisciplinary support
• Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Contingent workers may not exceed two years of assignment without a 90-day break

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification and CCRN preferred
• Two years of recent ICU experience, dialysis/SLED experience preferred
• All licenses and certifications must be active and not pending for consideration
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
