RN-Neuro/SICU at Albany, NY 12208
13-week assignment (Day & Night both available) 7pm-7am & 7am-7pm
Every Other Weekend & Holiday Rotating

Looking for RN-ICU with 2 Years of ICU staff experience required in trauma, surgical AND neurological ICU patients.

Requested Skill Set:
Must have: NYS Licensed RN with at least 2 years permanent staff experience in trauma, surgical AND neurological ICU patients.  Must have Level One trauma experience.
Advanced skills needed: Comprehensive advanced neurological assessments, NIHSS stroke assessments, hemodynamic monitoring of critically ill patient, ventilator management.
Procedures performed on unit:  Placement of arterial line, central line, external ventricular drain, ICP monitor, SEPS drain. Bedside bronchoscopy, abdominal washout, tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, pigtail drains.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS. NIHSS preferred
Patient Population: Patients with life threatening conditions related to major elective and emergency surgical procedures, multiple traumas, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, patients with sepsis / multi-organ system failure, and hemodynamic instability
