Hospice RN Job Details – Paducah, KY

Position Title: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Paducah, Kentucky (serving Fulton, Hickman, and Carlisle Counties)
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
Healthcare Setting: Hospice care, home visits
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (8-hour shifts)
Shifts per Week: 5
Total Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
On-Call Requirement: Backup on-call 1-2 days per week
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,733 - $1,926

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent hospice RN experience (within the past 3 years) (required)
Proficiency with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) (required)
Experience with OASIS documentation (required)
Active Kentucky or Compact Registered Nurse License (required)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)

Hospice Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate hospice nursing care to patients in their homes throughout Fulton, Hickman, and Carlisle Counties
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans using HCHB and OASIS
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on hospice services, symptom management, and end-of-life care
Participate in backup on-call rotation 1-2 days per week as required
