Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Iowa requiring at least two years of home health experience and a compact or IA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Home Health setting providing care to patients in their homes
• Patient population consists of individuals requiring skilled nursing care post-acute or for chronic conditions
• Documentation is completed using Epic EMR; experience with Epic is preferred
• Travel between patient homes is required as part of the daily schedule
• Must be available to work two out of three major winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Only one day off may be requested between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 regardless of which holidays are worked
• Provide comprehensive nursing care and patient education in the home environment following individualized care plans
• Returning travelers or employees who have worked at the client facility within the last 12 months may not be eligible

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• At least two years of recent Home Health RN experience required
• Completion of at least one previous travel nursing contract required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
• One supervisory performance reference from within the past two years is required
