Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Hawaii, requiring a HI license, BLS, and OASIS documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Home Health setting serving adult patients in their homes
• Primarily based on Kaua'i with occasional floating to Oahu, Maui, or Big Island as needed
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 to 16:30
• Productivity standard is 25 units per week
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care in patients' homes
• Coordinate ongoing case management and document clinical assessments
• Manage a broad range of clinical skills including wound care, tube and catheter management, and post-operative care
• Float to other islands may be required and expenses for travel will be covered
• Scrubs in any color and closed-toed shoes are required
• MatrixCare documentation experience is preferred
• First-time travelers are eligible to apply

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Home Health RN experience required
• At least 3 months of OASIS documentation experience required
• Proficiency in adult home health including admission assessment, case management, discharge planning, recertification, start of care, and routine visits
• Experience with wound care, ostomy management, tube care, catheter insertion and management, pain management, IV care and start skills, and infection control
• Blood glucose monitoring, nutritional assessment, and administration of blood products experience required
