• Facility Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 10, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call Requirements: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour if called in)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980 - $2030

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities

ER RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in the Emergency Department
• Implement, monitor, and modify nursing interventions based on patient needs and clinical evaluation
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care and interventions
• Promote patient and staff safety by following established emergency nursing protocols and promptly addressing safety concerns
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development and emergency nursing education
• Maintain compliance with all departmental competencies and hospital standards
