Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Iowa requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Treat a diverse patient population with urgent and emergent health needs
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records documentation
• Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Only 1 day of requested time off allowed between November 26-30 and December 23-January 2, regardless of holiday assignments
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Returning employees may not be considered if employed at the facility within the last 12 months
• Epic experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration or proof of application for compliance process
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
• At least 1 previous travel contract completed
• Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS, and TNCC
• All certifications must be current at the time of consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the last 2 years required
