Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in New York requiring a NY RN license and NIH Stroke certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 14-bed Emergency Room with 4 Minor Treatment areas
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1
• Handles approximately 31,000 patient visits annually
• Uses T system charting, with prior experience preferred
• Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required
• Flu vaccine required or declination accepted with mask mandate if declined
• Facility orientation includes mandatory continuing education units
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required before start
• Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience required
• Completion of 8 hours of CEUs as part of orientation
