Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) | St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO

Job Title: RN – Emergency Department
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hours/week)
Shift Type: Nights

Position Summary

The Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care, performs assessments, administers treatments, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care. This role supports the mission and values of SCL Health and may require floating to other departments or participating in on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Perform independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing standards
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Conduct health teaching and counseling
Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed
Monitor and review treatment plans
Document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Float to other units as needed
Participate in on-call coverage

Qualifications

Required:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program
Active RN license in Colorado
BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
NIHSS certification
Previous ED nursing experience
Additional certifications relevant to emergency care
