Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Pediatric ICU position requiring a WI or compact RN license and recent high acuity cardiac PICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU unit caring for neonates, infants, and adult congenital patients
• Unit manages open heart, heart transplants, and open chest cases
• Required to float to the NICU and PICU as needed
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR system
• RNs will coordinate and manage care for cardiac and cardiovascular surgery patients and their families
• Professional scrub attire required with any color permitted
• Only one small nose stud and ear piercings allowed as visible jewelry; other body piercings must use flesh colored or clear plugs
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions permitted
• No previous employment rules for submission or consideration specified

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
• Current AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred but not required
• Minimum of 12-18 months high acuity cardiac PICU experience required
• Level I Trauma experience highly preferred
• Ability to perform cardiac assessments and care for hemodynamically compromised and respiratory failure patients
