Travel Adolescent Behavioral Health RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days and nights; must work every other weekend with a schedule of 3x12s.

Job Description

The Travel Adolescent Behavioral Health RN is responsible for managing clinical and caregiving activities within the adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, specifically for patients aged 14-17 years. This role requires a commitment to the nursing department's philosophy, goals, and standards while ensuring the delivery of quality care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for unit operations and clinical activities.
• Formulate and monitor personnel and operating budgets.
• Direct staffing and scheduling of nursing personnel.
• Supervise employees in delivering care and promote a cohesive team environment.
• Plan and coordinate orientation and educational needs for staff.
• Ensure a good working relationship with other healthcare disciplines.
• Promote positive public relations as a representative of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Inpatient Adolescent psychiatric experience is required.
• De-escalation training/certification is required; SAFE Training Course can be attended onsite if needed.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to float to Geriatric and Adult Behavioral Health units as needed.
