Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a current CA license and two years of recent NICU experience for a Level II position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
• Care for neonatal patients, including Level III neonates
• 12-hour day shifts
• 13-week contract assignment
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and Epic EMR is preferred
• Must be available for orientation on specified start dates
• Team-oriented NICU environment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent NICU experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Must be comfortable caring for Level III neonates
• Clinical references from the last two places of employment, including one from a nurse manager or unit director
• Comprehensive employment history for the past seven years required, including explanation for gaps over 30 days
• Current NICU skills checklist valid within one year
