Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation Level I for a travel nursing job in Herrin, Illinois.

Responsible for helping patients who are suffering from illnesses, disabilities, and injuries. Establish goals and treatment plans, educate patients, and perform daily care tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide care and emotional support to patients who are recovering from an injury or illness.
• Work with patients to help them regain their strength and independence.
• Collaborate with others to create individualized plans that meet the needs of each patient.
• Educate patients and their families about the recovery process.
• Inform patients about what to expect during rehabilitation and how to cope with challenges.
• Teach patients and their families how to prevent further injuries or illnesses.
• Ensure patients are receiving the best possible care from their healthcare team.
• Communicate with insurance companies so patients receive the coverage they need.Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

This is for night shift 7 pm to 7 am for Inpatient Rehab. We do all the same things a medical floor does except Heparin Drips.We have a high neuro population so being stroke certified definitely would be a plus but not a requirement .Weekends would be every third weekend . Friday and Saturday nights.Sundays would be considered part of the regular work week but I could accommodate some flexibility with that night if needed.
