Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of PET/CT experience and strong patient-centered skills.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting with responsibilities rotating between General Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Expected to perform routine Nuclear Medicine studies such as bone, gastric, hepatobiliary, and renal scans, as well as general FDG oncology, NET, PSMA, neurology, and cardiac PET/CT imaging
• Uses Siemens cameras, including Symbia, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT
• Float within the hospital and to affiliated hospitals as needed
• On-call required: weekday call from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, weekend call shifts spanning Saturday 6:00 AM to Monday 6:00 AM
• Technologists perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging with direct patient care responsibilities
• Candidates will receive annual and onboarding training modules tailored by specialty
• Return staff policy requires a 90-day separation before returning as a traveler
• Level 1 trauma experience is required in most units
• Vaccine and testing requirements may apply per facility policy
• Documentation of certifications and required references must be provided at time of consideration

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in PET/CT
• BLS certification required
• Current Kentucky or compact state license required, if applicable
• Must provide a reference from a charge nurse or supervisor
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach
• Experience with Siemens nuclear medicine equipment is preferred
• No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted
