Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801
Unit: D2 – Inpatient overflow (medical surgical/step-down)
Number of Beds: 20
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025, End: 12/22/2025)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care and telemetry nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Proven telemetry competency
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical surgical and step-down patients in a fast-paced, short-stay unit
Monitor patients using hardwired bedside telemetry equipment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR
Adapt to rapid patient turnover and varying acuity levels
Float to additional units within Mission Hospital as required
