Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro ICU RN with ICU and stroke experience, active MO or Compact RN license, and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Neuro ICU within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Cares for neurological critical care patients including stroke cases
• Night shifts (4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Float to ICU, Med Surg, or serve as a Patient Observer as needed
• Expected to work approximately 50% of holidays during the contract
• Cerner EMR is used; experience preferred but not required
• Will participate in care of critically ill neuro patients with varying diagnoses, including stroke
• May be required to float to other units or act as a sitter based on facility needs
• Modules and orientation provided onsite
• Local candidates accepted but must live over 75 miles away for full travel benefits
• Must be available to work assigned weekends and holidays

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum one year recent Neuro ICU experience required
• At least two years of overall RN experience required
• Stroke care experience is mandatory
• CPI certification preferred; training may be completed onsite
• Experience in ICU required
