Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a multi-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist with 2 years of experience, ARRT certifications, and strong emergency and trauma imaging skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based CT department with responsibilities in both CT and X-Ray imaging
• Work with emergency, trauma, pediatric, and orthopedic cases using Siemens equipment
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every third weekend
• Possible floating to similar units within clinical scope
• Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital environment
• Utilizes Epic for charting and PACS for imaging
• No on-call required
• Duties include providing quality imaging and patient care in CT and X-Ray, ensuring clear communication with patients, and producing diagnostic images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner
• Candidates must be able to explain procedures effectively and perform independently in a high-acuity, trauma setting
• Pre-start module training is required and completed prior to assignment
• Scrub color is teal blue top with black bottoms
• All RTO must be declared at the time of application and is subject to approval
• Returning staff must have a one-year separation from prior hospital employment to be eligible
• Night and weekend parking requires a one-time $20 parking pass fee
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of multi-modality (CT and X-Ray) technologist experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• Current SCRQSA, BLS, and ACLS required (AHA certifications only)
• Experience with Siemens CT/X-Ray equipment, Epic, and PACS highly preferred
• Strong experience in emergency, trauma, pediatric, and orthopedic exams preferred
• Radiation badge must be provided by the technologist's agency
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates considered at a different rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration
