Job Description

The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies following the established protocols set by the Radiologists. The role involves operating the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality, preparing the scan room and equipment, positioning patients and coils, and maintaining communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies according to established protocols.
• Operate the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images.
• Prepare the scan room and equipment for procedures.
• Position patients and coils appropriately for scanning.
• Maintain communication with patients during the scanning process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program (Required)
• 1 Year experience as a Radiology Technologist (Required)
• 1 Year experience in CT or MRI (Preferred)
• RT(R) - Registered Technologist (R) (Required)
• RT(MR) - Registered Technologist (MR) (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
• ARRT MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire.
