MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology, along with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) being a plus. This position requires proficiency in operating MRI machines efficiently while ensuring patient comfort and effective communication with physicians for timely diagnosis delivery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
• Patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (ONLY).
• New York license is required.
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory.
• Level 1 trauma center experience is preferred.
• Certification through ARRT or a similar organization is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for Fridays and Sundays, from 11 AM to 11:30 PM. On-call and callback availability as per unit needs during holidays is also required.
