Night shift, 3x12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

The 3 West PCU/Tele is a 42-bed Medicine Acute Care unit specializing in the care of patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), autoimmune disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, congestive heart failure (CHF), gastrointestinal bleed, and diabetes. The Registered Nurse will facilitate admission, treatment, and transfer of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the medical-surgical and telemetry unit.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Perform wound care and manage peritoneal dialysis patients.
• Facilitate patient transfer and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Active RN license.
• BLS and NIH Stroke Certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
• Proficient in EPIC charting.
