Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry units provide comprehensive care for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs. Nurses in these units should have a strong foundation in med/surg nursing, be skilled in telemetry monitoring, and be adept at managing a diverse patient population. These units offer an engaging environment for nurses who can balance the demands of complex care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support stroke patients on a combined med/surg and stroke unit.
• Deliver nursing care for patients with GI issues, cardiac conditions, renal conditions, and altered mental status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Licensed Nurse with verification through Nursys.
• Completion of Bassett Core Competencies, Unit Exam, and Skills Checklist upon onboarding.
• Health clearances including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Varicella, and a Fit Test.
