Job Description

The Inpatient Surgery Nurse will provide care for a diverse patient population, including post-operative patients and those needing pain management. The unit is designed for efficient oversight, with a nursing staff dedicated to delivering high-quality care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer pain medications and manage IV medications and drips.
• Perform wound vac management and dressing changes.
• Assist with total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD).
• Conduct assessments and monitor patients for signs of complications.
• Document patient care using the EPIC system according to established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Familiarity with technology and monitoring systems utilized in the unit.
