Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with a NM or compact license and BLS and NIHSS certifications to work night shifts with float and weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Patient population includes stroke and post-surgery patients
• Night shift, working 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Floats required to similar units as needed
• Central telemetry monitoring tech available 24/7; interpretation of dysrhythmias not required
• Weekends are required as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation includes onsite module completion during initial week
• Module hours are counted toward worked hours for orientation
• Scrubs in any color may be worn but must be free of logos
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved; no time off allowed during first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• 3 years of experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
