Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Vermont, requiring VT or compact licensure and prior acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the general Med/Surg unit at a critical access hospital
• Primary patient population is adults with occasional pediatric cases
• Day shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts, 7am to 7pm, including every other weekend
• Care coordination may include medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed patients
• Meditech EMR is used; familiarity is preferred
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and occasional pediatric patients in a collaborative team environment
• Accountable to the Unit Director and supported by the Clinical Nurse Lead or Nursing Supervisor
• Required credentials must be submitted five business days before start date
• No radius rule restrictions for local candidates

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required prior to start
• At least 3 years of prior acute care RN experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Not suitable for RNs with only pediatric experience
