Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Mexico or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a 42-bed unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Float to other hospital units and participate in on-call shifts as needed
• Accurately document patient care and assessments in MedHost EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
