Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Level 1 experience and multiple active certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Cares for a variety of obstetric patients with health needs ranging from simple to complex
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including administering medications and intravenous fluids
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Interact with families and patients to share care plans and provide discharge instructions
• Document patient responses to interventions and communicate care needs to the healthcare team
• Responsible for delegating tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must be able to address the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Associates degree in nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Current certifications from American Heart Association: BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advance Provider or Instructor
• Must have Level 1 Labor & Delivery experience
