**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

**Location:** Morristown/Goryeb Area

**Shift:** 1st Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM; 2nd Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

**Job Description:**

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with high-risk experience to join our team in a large hospital setting. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and the ability to thrive in a busy, dynamic environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Assessment Skills:**
- Conduct comprehensive and systematic patient assessments across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric populations, delivering appropriate care.

2. **Clinical Skills:**
- Perform direct patient care consistently, demonstrating competent nursing skills and knowledge of emergency protocols and equipment.

3. **Documentation:**
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in patient records, including details of the nursing process and patient education.

4. **Professionalism:**
- Uphold professional practice responsibilities and demonstrate knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, identifying areas for clinical growth.

5. **Patient Satisfaction:**
- Ensure positive interactions with patients, families, and coworkers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient-centered care.

6. **Safety:**
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including employing safe transfer techniques and confirming patient identities utilizing two identifiers.

7. **Unit-Specific Functions:**
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patients, customizing care based on individual procedures and types of anesthesia while assessing patient reactions and understanding.

8. **Responsibility and Accountability:**
- Take accountability for directing patient care, prioritizing actions based on patient needs and any changes in their condition.

9. **Patient Education and Chart Completion:**
- Assess and support patient and family understanding of surgical procedures, delivering pre-operative and post-operative education as necessary.

10. **Duties Specific to Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) RN:**
- Facilitate timely completion of patient testing and evaluate the appropriateness and completeness of pre-admission orders.

**Qualifications:**

- **Licensure:** Active RN License required.
- **Certification:** ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- **Education:** Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- **Experience:** Must have high-risk experience within a large hospital setting.

**Physical Requirements:** As defined by Occupational Safety and Health guidelines.

**Contract Details:** Guaranteed hours: 36.00; Contract weeks: 89.
