Schedule

Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with an additional 24-hour call time within a 4-week period. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as scheduled.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Birthing Center. The role involves working in a high-risk labor and antepartum environment and requires maintaining active labor, triage, and postpartum care with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in active labor, triage, and postpartum settings.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and patient management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including OB/Neonatologists and anesthesia.
• Participate in unit policies regarding weekends and holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certifications.
• Significant experience in Labor and Delivery, including IV placement.
• Previous experience with EPIC charting system.
• Ability to handle high-risk patients.
