Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least one year of L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit with complex maternal cases
• Patient population includes diagnoses such as pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, placenta disorders, diabetes, and high-risk pregnancies starting at 22 weeks
• Level 3 NICU support available
• Day shifts with a 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 to 19:00
• Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Requires working every other weekend
• No call required
• Must provide nursing care for high-risk obstetric cases and participate in deliveries starting at 22 weeks gestation
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to start on time, with timely submission of documentation and labs
• Orientation includes specialty-specific modules, completed during scheduled orientation hours
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted during the contract and cannot be taken during the first week
• If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment, you are expected to work those holidays; if three occur, you are required to work at least two
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Unit does not accept first time travelers
• Two supervisory references are highly preferred for consideration
• Must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year if previously employed as permanent staff
